Also known as Ladyfinger. A heat tolerant, Southern-type pea. The peas are very tasty,
very small, and cream colored with a darker cream eye. They are good green,
frozen or dried. 90 days.
Traditional cowpea variety. Vigorous and productive vines are disease resistant and
produce 8" pods.70 days.
Pinkeye Purple Hull. Very resistant to insects and
disease Needs warm days and nights. Tolerates heat and drought. 75 days.
Red Ripper Cowpea. Vines bear 10-inch, reddish-green pods
with up to 18 large peas per pod. Pods borne high and are easy to
see. Drought and heat resistant. Use shelled or dry. 70 days.
Mississippi Silver Brown Crowder. Easy to pick and shell
because the pods are above the vine. Early with a delicate flavor. 60
Texas Cream 40. Bush type plants. The pods are 6 to 8 inches long.
Seeds are small, kidney-shaped, and white with an orange eye. 80 days.
White Acre. Produces heavy yields of small white cowpeas on bush type
plants. Excellent flavor. 65 days.
