Florida Broadleaf. Large, semi-upright 16-22 in. spreading
leafy plant with round/oval serrated dark green leaves. Tender, cream
colored midribs. Grows vigorously. Popular in the South. 50 days.
Southern Giant Curled. Large upright, vigorous, hardy
plants. Early curled type with a spread of 18-24 in. and large bright
green leaves with crumpled frilled edges. Mild but mustardy flavor.
Cold resistant and slow to bolt. Can be sown spring or fall. For home
or market gardens. 45 days.
Tendergreen. Drought tolerant mustard-spinach. 35 days.
Clemson Spineless. All-America Selections Winner. Plant
plenty of okra to cook with your tomatoes. Pick when 2-1/2 to 3"
long. Very prolific. 60 days.
Yellow Sweet Spanish. A very large onion, often weighing 2
lbs., that is excellent for slicing. Its white flesh has a mild,
sweet delicious flavor. One of the most popular of all onions. 105

Harris Model. Cultivated for its 12 to 15 inch white root that
is smooth, tender and very sweet. Can be left in the ground without
protection all winter for spring use. Freezing improves the flavor.

Big Max. Big Max is the choice of professional pumpkin
contestants. Unlike some big pumpkins that are just big blobs, Big
Max has smooth light orange skin and is perfect for Halloween carving
or other holiday decorations. To achieve maximum size, grow one
pumpkin per vine, water and fertilize regularly. Excellent for
canning or pumpkin pies. 120 days.
Connecticut Field. Big Tom. 20 lbs. for carving, pies and
canning. 120 days.
Howden. Traditional for 12-15 pound Halloween pumpkins. 110
days.
Spookie. A cross between Sugar Pie and Jack O'Lantern with 6-10 pound pumpkins that have smooth, hard, red-orange skin. Excellent quality, fine-textured, sweet, thick, yellow-orange flesh that is great for pies. Also good for painting or carving. 90-110 days.
New England Pie/Sugar Pie. Pumpkins are under used for cooking. There is simply no pumpkin with better flavor or sweeter flesh for making great pies, soups, muffins, casseroles, and many other very nutritious dishes. Stores for months. Weighs 6 to 8 lbs. 90-115 days.
