Rapini. Italian heirloom broccoli. The tender stems, buds, and flowers have a wonderfully delicate slightly bitter/spicy/peppery broccoli flavor which can be enjoyed in salads, stir-fried, or steamed. Likes cool weather so sow the seeds in the very early spring or wait until late summer for a fall crop. Harvest just before the flowers open. Also known as asparagus broccoli. 45 days.
