Perennial. Likes a long growing season with mild winters and rich soil. Easy to grow and quite delicious. Simply boil and eat the fleshy outer leaves like asparagus, dipped in butter. A gourmet's delight, grown on such an attractive plant that it is often found in the flower garden. 3 to 6 foot plants with 3 to 4 inch heads. Approximately 20 seeds per 1/32 oz packet.
